One of the leading ski and snowboard brands in the world of snowsports, K2 are pioneers in their field. Founded in 1962 in Washington State, K2 expanded into snowboards in 1987 and was the first ski brand to engineer products specifically for women from 1999 onwards.

K2 is at home all over the mountain, from park to piste and big, all-mountain adventures, K2 has skis or a board that can handle whatever you and the mountain can throw at it. Through the season in the Portes Du Soleil, we’ve tested the Terrex in the snowparks of Arare, Chapelle and The Stash, as well as the off-piste of Fornet, Mont Chery, Choucas and Chamonix (for more areas to ski in Morzine and Avoriaz, click HERE), which is why having an equipment partner like K2 is so important.

Fresh Powder and BIG turns

One of our favourite days of the season was our photoshoot with the amazing K2 snowboard and Line Skis (a sister brand of K2). Bluebird day and fresh powder meant one thing - big slashes! We headed out early after a big dump the night before with huge excitement and boy were we rewarded. We had to search for it but after a short hike our local knowledge paid off and we found the powder fiel we were looking for. Hidden away in the Avoriaz area of the Portes du Soleil.

But it doesn't matter what snow sliding device you use if you have k2 supporting you. From powder skis to park boards, they cover it all. Including board bags, clothing, boots and more. Our favourite board of 2023 is the Passport, an all-mountain monster. The Mindbender skis and boots are also an incredible combination on and off-piste!
