That’s why we have travel cots, a child-specific menu, a list of highly-recommended nannies and child-friendly ski instructors to pick from, meaning you can relax and enjoy your family ski holiday. Combined with accessible nursery slopes, Morzine offers so many activities for children, as well as a short transfer time from Geneva Airport, taking away one potential headache of travelling with young children in tow. 

One of the reasons we love Morzine so much is that it is a year-round town, with the amenities to match. There’s an indoor swimming pool (in Avoriaz), weekly ice hockey matches, outdoor ice rinks and sledging to keep all the family entertained, as well as weekly firework displays on the slopes of Pleney. 

When it comes to Winter, we’re all there to enjoy the skiing, and Morzine is great for all the family to enjoy. There are picturesque tree-lined pistes on the lower slopes of Pleney and Les Gets, with gentle nursery slopes at the top of the Pleney Gondola which have the added benefit of having the use of a magic carpet, keeping little shredders out of the wind and cold of the chairlifts, while also being a lot easier to navigate than drag lifts.

Another great area for kids to explore is Lil’Stash under the Proclou lift. There is a gentle, wide piste as well as a fun route through the trees with small features and jumps (which is also great fun for big kids as you return back to Morzine after a full day.

We’ve added a few little elements into our ski chalets that make the whole process so much simpler;

We work with a number of ski schools in Morzine, and have trusted them with our own children. Along with the independent ski schools, Club Piou Piou is a great ski club for children aged 3-5. Centred around games and having fun on the snow, Piou Piou teaches children the basics and gets them comfortable on snow, a brilliant option that crosses over child care and ski lessons for the very young. 
 

Lift passes in the Portes Du Soleil are free for children under the age of 5, however they do need a physical card to be able to use the lift system. The card is €3 to purchase and proof of ID (passport) is required.
